Biography

Heinrich was built-in most 1713. [1]

By 1736, Heinrich resided at Warwick, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, at which fourth dimension he was married to Anna Elisabetha Ellrodt. They were married past the Reverend John Casper Stoever, a traveling government minister from the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church at New Holland. ...

Heinrich and his family unit resided at the Monocacy settlement of Frederick Canton, Maryland from 1740 to 1758. This information is from the Stoever baptism records and the Maryland court records.

Past 1759, Heinrich and his family were residents of Frg township York (now Adams) Canton, Pennsylvania. Henry (sic) and his family are well documented in the land, court, church records, and the tax assessment lists. Heinrich was an overseer of the poor (1759), and supervisor of Highways (1768). In 1767, he was listed as one of the founding members of St. John's Lutheran Church. His name appears on the transfer human activity for St. John's Lutheran Church (1763), and he and his wife were the baptism sponsors for many children.

Heinrich nigh likely resided on the farm in Germany township several years before receiving a deed. His application for 150 acres was dated August 1, 1766, received a warrant dated October 9, 1766, and title was granted on Nov 21, 1771. His habitation farm was known as 'White Oak Level', 239 acres, which began on the old temporary line of Pennsylvania and Maryland, southwest of present-day Littlestown.

In 1790, Heinrich Bischoff divided his land into ii parcels. He sold 150 acres to Valentine Shere. The remaining 89 acres he sold to his sone, Dieterich Bischoff, for five shillings and on the condition that his son treat him during his natural life.

The exact date of Heinrich's death is unknown. Information technology was nearly likely in the latter part of 1790 or January 1791. An administration bond for his estate was dated January 31, 1791, with his son Dieterich Bischoff, ambassador. The last account was dated March 29, 1792." PP 6-7,[two]

Henry could accept been born in Northern Alsace, as many immigrants arrived to that part of French republic due to war depopulation during this time. He emigrated in 1733, arriving in Philadelphia. In 1759, he was Overseer of the Poor for Deutschland Twp (York, PA). He applied for a warrant for the 150 acres he had been farming for years, in Germany Twp, on one Aug 1766. This was granted nine Oct of the aforementioned year. Henry was a founding member of St. john'due south Lutheran Church in Littlestown (now in Adams County). In 1768, he was Supervisor of Highways and yet lived in Germany Twp. Title was issued for his farm, "White Oak Level" on 21 November 1771.
